STP 2007

Day 1 (Sunday, 3rd June 2007)
Arrival of participants from Victoria School & dinner at SEAMEO VOCTECH followed by discussion for collaborative activities and briefing on Ecology Field Trip.

Day 2 (Monday, 4th June 2007)
Field work: Ecology field trip to the Heath Forest of Bukit Beruang, Tutong. Topic given: "Determination of the Density and Distribution of Eurycoma longifolia (Tongkat Ali) in the Heath Forest of Bukit Beruang, Tutong". In the evening, they went for a visit to Brunei Night Market and The Mall, Gadong.

Day 3 (Tuesday, 5th June 2007)

Students did data analysis and report writing while the teachers had their own sharing session with Brunei principals in PTE, Berakas. During night time, they had a night city tour - street lighting for the Royal Wedding.

Day 4 (Wednesday, 6th June 2007)

There were collaborative cultural activities and slide presentation on ISB Borneo Global Issue Conference V which took place at SOASC auditorium. After lunch, they visited the Royal Regalia in the capital city. At night time, they went to the Jerudong Park Playground for a night tour.

Day 5 (Thursday, 7th June 2007)

Early morning, all who were involved joined an aerobic session followed by Jungle Track at Tasek Lama Recreational Park. After refreshing up, project presentation was held at SOASC auditorium & visited the Youth Development Centre.

Day 6 (Friday, 8th June 2007)
All participants went hiking at Bukit Shahbandar and later that afternoon, they went for a boat ride to the Kampong Ayer. The Kampong Ayer (Water Village) is also popularly known as 'Venice of the East'. It is a zone of Brunei's capital city Bandar Seri Begawan. All of the Water Village buildings are constructed on stilts above the Brunei River. At night, a farewell dinner was conducted with lots of cultural perfomances from both schools.

Day 7 (Saturday, 9th June 2007)
All students with SOASC Working committee had breakfast together at the SEAMEO VOCTECH before they went off to the Brunei International Airport for the departure of Victoria School participants.
