School Twinning Programme 2007


Welcome to Multimedia Maktab SOAS blog! This is not yet an official website for Maktab SOAS. This is an alternative for teachers of Maktab SOAS to inform any events occured in Maktab SOAS to internet users.


Back in 2007, Maktab SOAS had its first school twinning programme (STP) in cooperated with Ministry of Education and Victoria School of Singapore.


Generally the aims of STP are to:
1. Help maintain bilateral ties between countries.
2. Strengthen the relationship amongst students and staff between institutions.
3. To promote academic and cultural exchange.
4. Provide a platform for exchange of ideas, information, issues and challenges pertaining to the education system of both countries.
5. Foster a sense of partnership through sharing of ideas on administrative, teaching and learning strategies
6. Encourage nation-building.


Its objectives are:
1.To acquire new effective ideas pertaining to leadership, management of curriculum and co-curriculum, and school administration.
2. To exchange ideas, innovations pertaining to teaching and learning processes.
3. To realise the importance of community cohesion through collaborative activities.
4. To develop interpersonal skills.
5. To enhance personal communications skills.
6. Widen students’ knowledge and perception through exposure to a different environment, cultures, traditions, ethnic groups and lifestyles.
7.To share and acquire the socio-cultural and traditional values of both countries.
8. To inspire students to strive to improve their skills and gain knowledge in the betterment of oneself and to contribute towards nation building.
